Shelby Northam started her career as a first responder at the age of 14 with a small volunteer fire department on the eastern shore of Maryland. While in high school, she completed her training and graduated as a certified Firefighter/EMT, then proceeded to obtain her A-EMT. Shelby volunteered as an A-EMT for several years before she began her career as a Paramedic for the Northampton County Department of EMS. She later transferred to the Accomack County Department of Public Safety where she obtained her Paramedic certification from Wor-Wic Community College in Maryland. In her free time, Shelby enjoys spending time with her two dogs and playing bass with the band Candi.
