On October 7th the Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad will host the Virginia Fire-EMS Recruitment-Retention Network Meeting.
The meeting will hear from a new work group with a mission, to help volunteer fire and ems agencies succeed……..
Many volunteer agencies, including fire and ems departments are facing difficult times.
- Some fire and ems departments are struggling with recruiting and retaining new volunteers.
- Securing funds to buy new emergency equipment and building new stations is a challenge.
- Now is the time to seek out programs that have worked and share the action plans of those successes.
Gary Dalton and Karen Wagner with the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads will brief the participants on a new work-group known as the Volunteer Rescue Squad Assistance Workgroup [VRSAWG].
The VRSAWG mission:
Help Volunteer Fire and EMS Public Safety Agencies in the Commonwealth to succeed.
