EMT Class 32 volunteers come to us from across all Hampton Roads area cities including, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, the Peninsula and surrounding areas.

Some are active and former military, serving their country and now serving the City of Virginia Beach as emergency medical prehospital care providers. Others are stay at home moms and dads, high school graduates and college students.

They join for different reasons, some to gain field experience and reach out to find employment as first responders. Others, looking to enter medical school and many just to give back to the community.
