Kaleigh began her EMS career in 2010 with the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, where she progressed from an EMT-B to Paramedic. She served as a Field Training Officer and a Skills Proctor along the way.
After working in medical transport and as an emergency department tech, she was hired as a career paramedic with Virginia Beach EMS in 2014. Kaleigh has since served on the Marine Medic Team, Flight Medic team, and with Hampton Roads Metropolitan Medical Strike Team as an EMS Specialist. Kaleigh holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biochemistry from Old Dominion University, an Associate’s degree in Emergency Medical Services from Tidewater Community College, and several instructorships.
