VA Beach Public Library Helping To Enhance VA Beach First Responders Personal Protective Equipment With Face Shields

Posted by & filed under Local and Regional Events.

The Virginia Beach Public Library staff stepped up to help Virginia Beach First Responders enhanced their PPE gear with the addition of visors made with the libraries 3-D printer.

Using their 3-D printers, the staff made visors that accept a plastic snap on sheet protector that could be worn over first responders regular face masks. The visors when worn over a surgical or NP95 type mask enhances the protection of the first responder

Recently, Virginia Beach EMS Chief Ed Brazle accepted a delivery of shields from the library staff.

Thank you Virginia Beach Public Library staff for “thinking outside the box” and helping city first responders stay safe.
